The Kansas City Chiefs are still going to be the great team that we have seen the last three years. Making it to two Superbowls in two years and winning one. The Chiefs made some big changes but none that will affect the team drastically. They still have their core players from last season and hopefully the added players will just make the Chiefs that much better. They made a few changes on offense that may change how the offense is ran for a short while but the changes were what was needed.

Chiefs Offense

Sammy Watkins

People may think that Watkins is not a huge loss for the Chiefs, but he was a key player in the offense. Watkins was there for Patrick Mahomes on many plays. He was an average receive that was put to the side because of Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. Last season Watkins had 37 catches for 421 yards in only 10 games. He was out for several games due to injury. Watkins in now on the Baltimore Ravens

New offense line

The Kansas City Chiefs had gotten basically a whole new offense line and got rid of Eric Fisher and signed Orlando Brown, Austin Blythe, and Joe Thuney. These were a much need addition to the team. The Chiefs had many injuries on the offense line, but they were lucky to have Mahomes because they could barely block for him. The players they signed have many years of experience combined and bring a lot to the team.

Chiefs Defense

Bashaud Breeland

Bashaud Breeland was a well-known player on the Chiefs. He played more then 60 percent of the snaps on defense as a cornerback. The defense is going to miss him because of the years of experience. Playing for the Chiefs for only 2 seasons but playing in the NFL since 2014. The defense will miss him until someone shows that they can compete with the best.

The Chiefs made a few changes this off season, but those changes do not look like they will affect the team to much. They still look like the team to beat this year and will probably make it to the Superbowl this year if everyone stays healthy. The notable losses are not huge, but we may see an impact on the team for the first few games. The much needed changes happened. The Chiefs will be a top team for many years to come.
