Notre Dame vs Florida State is a huge game this week and have a lot to show during this game after losing several big players in the draft. Notre Dame has the better players and talent, and their head coach is better at winning than Florida State’s. Florida State has not had a winning season since 2017 and it was only one game over .500. Will Notre Dame win big? Or will it be a close game?
Notre Dame’s 2020 Season
Notre Dame had a better season in 2020 than Florida State did. They went 10-2 and went to the college football playoffs. Florida State couldn’t even stay above .500 and they weren’t even ranked at all during the season. Notre Dame beat Florida State during the season as a whole and they dropped 42 points on them. Notre Dame even beat Clemson who is considered one of the best teams in the NCAA.
The way the teams played last season, but the player and team stats are even better for Notre Dame last season. To start with, Ian Book had more touchdown passes than the whole Florida State team did. He also had more passing yards than all that Florida State did. Florida State may have changed some players for new, but it still doesn’t change the fact that they have no chance of beat Notre Dame.
Ian Book, Cole Kmet, and Chase Claypool are gone. It does not change Notre Dames offense too much and does not change anything. They have got a set of great players to take their places and will make the team better. Jack Coan is the starting quarterback and has proven at Wisconsin that he is a good player. Florida States doesn’t even look like they can pick a starting quarterback for the game.
Jack Coan‘s 2019 stats at Wisconsin were great. He had almost 2,800 yards that season and almost had a 70-completion percentage and also had 18 passing touchdowns to only 5 interceptions. He is a big addition to Notre Dame and is a great quarterback to take over from Ian Book. There is offense line is all experienced expect for one. Blake Fisher is a freshman, but he did beat out more experienced players, so he is going to be like nothing changed.
Kyren Williams is already coming off a 1,000-yard rushing season and is looking to continue it with a huge start against them. Florida State let up almost 200 rushing yards a game. Kyren Williams is returning from last season, so he is already use to the offense and knows what Notre Dame needs. Williams will have a great game.
Notre Dame vs Florida State will be a huge game for both teams. It will put Notre Dame in the conversation for College Football Playoffs. It will also be a great start to a season that could show that they are a great team. It will be a blow out.
My prediction is ND wins, 49 to 14.
