The biggest season of DFS is almost underway! Today I want to look at some running back deep value plays on FanDuel that could be overlooked and help you fit those studs into your lines. The biggest tournaments are won by finding cheap gold in DFS. So today were digging deep for that gold.
Starting with Carlos Hyde now with his former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer. Its hard to believe hyde wont have at least a decent role in this offense especially now with rookie Travis Etienne sidelined. Hyde is only $4800 and will help you save money to use elsewhere. At that price, if he sees 10+ touches I think he will cover his value. Hyde’s first match up will also be against the Houston Texans terrible defense. They ranked in the very bottom on allowed rushing yards per game last season.
Jerick McKinnon $4700
Will be a long shot but a healthy jerick McKinnon in this offense could soon emerge to be a huge asset. Mahomes praise his athletic ability during training camp and as of now Edwards – Helaire and Williams are dealing with minor injuries. If either one of these two are down week 1 i can see McKinnon getting plenty of looks, especially in the passing game. Its expected to be a high-scoring game in week 1 as Cleveland comes to KC. This will be a rematch from the playoffs last season.
James white $4800
Now that sony Michel has been traded it paths the way for White to be the 3rd down receiving back where he has had most of his success in the past. After a very quiet season last year, I expect white to bounce back and be a lot more involved. Rookie QB Mac Jones has won the starting job, which should improve the running backs fantasy outlook. Can Newton are away at RBs fantasy ceilings by take away rusing TD’s at the goal-line. Jones may also prove to be a more accurate passer as well. Jones threw passes to his running backs often in college at Alabama as well. This should be a major improvement for James White if he can get back to his old self.
Jamaal Williams $4900
Its looking like Swift could be out for week 1 and with a new coach and a complete rebuild of the Detroit lions establishing a run game could be priority number 1. Even if this game goes bad fast for Detroit Williams has been a good pass-catching back in the past. I would expect Willaims to have 15+ touches whether Detroit can keep the game competitive or a complete blowout.
