Kansas City Chiefs had a much-needed bounce-back win over Philadelphia Eagles, 42 to 32. Many things came out of this game for both teams. The Chiefs go to 2-2, and the Eagles fall to 1-3. The Chiefs looked good on offense but had a bad defensive outing. The Eagle looked a lot better on offense but did not seem like they had an answer on defense.

Chiefs Offense Finding Its Rythme

The Chiefs have finally found their footing and scored the most points they have this whole season. Their offense had 471 total yards, and 271 were passing, and 200 were rushing. Patrick Mahomes had another excellent game with five touchdowns and 278 passing yards. He did have an interception which made it three games in a row with an interception. However, Clyde Edwards-Helaire had 102 rushing yards for the second game in a row. In addition, Tyreek Hill had another amazing game against the Eagles. Hill had 186 yards on only 11 catches and had three touchdowns. This game was the best offensive game that the Cheifs had all season. On the other hand, the defense did not play as well.

Eagles Offense Getting Better

Just like the Chiefs, the Eagles also had a great game. The Eagle’s offense had a game that was similar to the Chiefs, but they passed a lot more. They had 461 total yards, and 358 yards were in the air. Jalen Hurts had 387 passing yards and two touchdowns. However, 122 of those yards were to Devonta Smith. The biggest thing that held the Eagles down on offense was that the lead rusher on the team was Jalen Hurts. It was not many yards though, because he only had 47 rushing yards. The Eagles keep getting better and better every game, and it showed once again in this game.

Final Thoughts

Once again, the Chiefs had to outscore their opponents to be able to win this game. The defense let up almost the same amount of yards that their offense had. The Chiefs need to figure out how to stop the other teams because things will be much harder later in the season. The Eagles, on the other hand, needed to work on not getting big penalties that take huge plays away and touchdowns. This game would have been much closer if they have done that.

The Eagles play the Panthers next week.

The Chiefs play the Bills next week.
