# 3 Iowa will be hosting #4 Penn State this Saturday at 3:00 pm central time. Both teams will be coming into this game undefeated and are hoping to make the College Football Playoffs.

This game will define one of these teams’ seasons and will be the toughest game for both of them. Needing this win to keep their hopes high for playoffs, will Iowa’s defense be able to keep playing like they are used to? Or will Penn State figure out how to not turn the ball over?

How Penn State Will Win?

Sam Clifford is catching his stride and will need to continue that if they want to beat Iowa. He does have 11 touchdowns and will be looking to add to that total. He can be accurate and is also looking to have a better completion percentage than against Indiana.

They are good at making explosive plays and will need many of those to score against this defense. However, Clifford had an 83-yard touchdown pass and a 43-yard rush. In addition, two other running backs have a 30 plus yard rush, and Noah Cain had three touchdowns to add to that.

The biggest thing Penn State needs to win this game is to be able to run the ball. Clifford is just getting in stride and will need to get better during this game. They will also need to limit their turnovers and scores off of those.

How Iowa Will Win?

Let’s talk about the one thing that we all know will win Iowa this game, their defense. If you have followed Iowa at all this season, the biggest thing is their defense. The defense has created 15 total turnovers this season already, and we are going into week six. Iowa is coming into this game as the seventh-ranked defense and has only allowed seven touchdowns.

Spencer Petras has gotten better game after game. During the Maryland game, Petras had 259 passing yards and three touchdowns. He also has a good completion percentage that keeps going up with every game. Petras is getting confident, and that will make the offense for Iowa more and more intimidating.

The biggest thing for Iowa in this game is to create turnovers. Their defense needs to play their best game because this is the best team they have faced all year. Iowa needs to score more on offense so they can win this game.

Final Thoughts

Iowa and Penn State will have to play their best games of the year. This game will decide who will be in the college football playoffs and more. This game for Penn State will decide if they will make the Big Ten championship game and more.

My prediction: Iowa wins 35 to 21.
