It’s time for the week five college football playoff predictions. There were a lot of upsets this week which means another big shakeup in the rankings. But here are my four top teams for this week as there will be a new team in the top four with Oregon getting knocked off.
Number one again this week should be no surprise as Alabama looked dominant again this week. Yes, Kiffin did give Alabama a short field for most of the first half, but Alabama on offense and defense has been the most complete team in my eyes. As Alabama defense shut down the explosive Ole Miss offense as Ole Miss did score some in the second half but the game was already out of hand. Furthermore, Alabama is the best team in the nation right now by far but can they keep it up against a tough SEC schedule we shall see.
Number two should be no surprise either as Georgia has looked dominant. Furthermore, Georgia absolutely dominated Arkansas last week as their defense is looking really good right now and who knows, they look like they might be able to take down Alabama.
Likewise, Cincinnati is the new team in the top four this week. Furthermore, it is time to put some respect on the bearcats as they went it South Bend and beat a very good Notre Dame team. In addition, Desmond Ridder has looked nothing short of spectacular in the first weeks of the college football season as he is definitely on everybody’s Heisman watch list.
4. Penn State
Penn State still holds the number four spot this week. But they do play a though Iowa team this week in Iowa as it is always tough to play on the road. Penn State controls there own destiny.
5. Iowa, 6. Oklahoma, 7. Michigan, 8. Oregon, 9. Ohio State, 10. BYU
Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Coastal Carolina, Kentucky, Wake Forest
