Week 6 Waiver Wire Targets

USA Today

Who do I pick up on waivers? It’s the question all fantasy managers ask at the start of each week. This article will give you some insight into the top players you should pick up from the Waiver Wire, to help your team. Oftentimes, the players you pick up from waivers can win you your league. So we want to get those players before our league-mates do. Here are the top Week 6 Waiver Wire targets. All of these players are on less than 50% of rosters according to Yahoo Fantasy Leagues.

Devontae Booker

The New York Giants running back leads our Week 6 Waiver Wire Targets. Because of the Saquon Barkley injury, Booker is now the lead back. With Barkley leaving the game easily against the Dallas Cowboys, Booker stepped in scoring 2 touchdowns. Barkley’s injury is expected to have him miss a couple of weeks so Booker will be a Top-24 running back until his return.

Darrel Williams

With Clyde Edwards-Helaire going down with an MCL Sprain, Williams steps in as the lead back for the Kansas City Chiefs. Williams’s upside might not be as high as people think because the Chiefs might just use this to throw the ball more but the starting running back for the Chiefs is worth getting off the waivers. Jerick McKinnon doesn’t make the list but is definitely worth grabbing especially in PPR leagues. Because both Williams and McKinnon will get an increase in playing time, you should try to get at least one of them if possible.

Kadarius Toney

The New York Giants Wide Receiver has “star” written all over him. He looks great. Now, he has an ankle injury and we don’t know for sure if Daniel Jones will be back as the quarterback in Week 6 yet. Also, Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton are returning to the lineup soon. All of this being said, Toney is an explosive talent so if he is still on waivers, make sure you get him. If Toney is able to get the opportunity, he could be a league winner. His potential is that high.

Khalil Herbert

This Chicago Bears running back rushed 18 times for 75 yards on Sunday. Herbert and Damien Williams are both stepping in for the injured David Montgomery. Because Montgomery will miss more time, go scoop Herbert off waivers. He saw 53% of the snaps on Sunday and profiles as a nice running back. He is 5’9 212lbs, so definitely has the potential to carve out a larger role in the next couple of weeks. If you need help at running back, Herbert is worth picking up off the Week 6 Waiver Wire.

Amon-Ra St. Brown

The Detroit Lions top wide receiver is only 3% owned and has been impressive lately. For example, over the past two weeks, St. Brown went for 70 receiver yards on 6 receptions and 65 receiving yards on 7 receptions. Because of his high target share, he can be considered a weekly FLEX play, especially if your team is hurting from bye weeks and injuries.
