The Los Angeles Dodgers stand victorious after a battle all series long against the San Fransisco Giants, winning game Five by a score of 2-1, after a controversial check swing called a strike. Tonight they had late game heroics curtesy of Cody Bellinger in the top of the 9th. It was a back and forth series for both teams, with the Giants winning both their games by shutting out the Dodgers, 4-0 in game One and 1-0 in game Three. The Dodgers answered back with 9-2 and 7-2 wins in games Two and Four.

Stars of the Series

Logan Webb: Webb pitched absolute gems in both games One and Five. In game one, Webb threw 7 2/3 Shutout innings, along with 10 K and only allowing 4 hits. Logan Webb knew just how to expose the Dodgers offense and make them pay.

Max Scherzer: Max Scherzer got his first career save in game Five and threw a pretty good game outside of giving up a homerun to Evan Longoria in the top of the fifth inning in game Three. Scherzer threw 7 innings, striking out 10 and walking 1 in his outing.

All Defensive players: There were a lot of amazing defensive plays made by both teams throughout the series, including a leaping grab by Brandon Crawford, and a really good snag on a line drive by Justin Turner.

On to the next one

The Dodgers now face off against the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS, a rematch from the playoffs last season. Game 1 starts at 8pm ET on Saturday.
