This Saturday, we have a Pac-12 showdown between the No. 10 Oregon Ducks and the UCLA Bruins. Both teams were coming off wins last week. Oregon beat California 24-17, and UCLA beat Washington 24-17 as well. The game will be played at the Rose Bowl, and UCLA is favored by 1.5

Oregon comes into the game third in the Pac-12 in rushing, averaging 210.3 rushing yards per game. Oregon will lean on running back Travis Dye to lead the rushing attack with CJ Verdell out of the lineup. Dye has rushed for 527 yards and four touchdowns so far this season. Quarterback Anthony Brown is also a running threat and has five rushing touchdowns on the season.

UCLA only gives up 91 yards a game rushing, so it will be strength versus strength. On the other hand, UCLA is last in the Pac-12 in pass defense. As a result, the Bruins give up a lot of yardage in the passing game. So Brown, who has thrown for 1,194 yards and seven touchdowns, should have plenty of opportunities to throw down the field.

ULCA is the second in the Pac-12 in rushing; they average 220 yards per game. The Bruins have running back Zach Charbonnet, who leads UCLA in rushing with 697 rushing yards. When he rushed for 100 yards or more, the Bruins are undefeated. Also, the Bruins have Brittain Brown, who has rushed for 468 yards. Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson can run to as well.

Oregon will look to stop UCLA’s rushing attack and try to force them to pass. Thompson-Robinson has passed pretty well so far this season, throwing for 13 touchdowns and just two interceptions. However, he will have to make crucial throws if UCLA wants to beat Oregon. In addition, Thompson-Robinson will need to look out for Kayvon Thibodeaux, who will look t put pressure on the quarterback.

This game will come down to whatever defense can slow down the opposing team rushing attack. However, Oregon will make some plays in the passing game and pull out a 28-24 victory.
