No. 13 Notre Dame face off against USC this Saturday at 6:30 PM central, after taking a year off of the rivalry. Notre Dame is five and one after their one loss to Cinncinati, and USC is three and three.

Notre Dame leads the series 49 to 37 and has five ties.

Players That Need To Show Up

USC needs Kedon Slovis and Drake London to get started early and often. Slovis has 1,519 passing yards and nine touchdowns. London has been a star all season and has 832 receiving yards and five touchdowns. In addition, These players will need to have a great game against Notre Dame’s defense.

Notre Dame needs Jack Coan to have a great game if they look to have a huge win. Coan has 1,208 passing yards and ten touchdowns, and three interceptions. He has had a couple slow games and has not been the same all season. He will have to have a game as he had against Florida State.

What Is At Stack?

Notre Dame needs this win if they are trying to have any chance at making the College Football Playoffs. They also are looking to bounce back after their loss at home to Cinncinati. USC is still chasing a chance at making the Pac 12 championship game. They are also looking to bounce back after their loss to Utah.

Key Matchup

It will come down to Drake London up against Kyle Hamilton. Drake London is having one of the best seasons a receiver can have. Kyle Hamilton must have another great game and be able to hold London to a season-low. It will be Notre Dame’s biggest passing threat that they have had all season.

Final Thoughts

USC is looking to get the win this week after losing the last three meetings. They will need to be able to stop Notre Dame’s rushing game because they haven’t been able to dominate on just passing. Notre Dame will have to rush the ball more than they have all season. They barely can get to an average of 100 rushing yards a game. This game will be a turnaround game for whatever team wins.

Prediction: Notre Dame Wins 35 to 21.
