Waiver Wire Pickups Week 3:

After a full two weeks of NBA action, it’s still too soon to decide on pickups from the waiver wire on your team for week 3. Several players have gotten hurt in the first two weeks of NBA action. So with that, here is my list of waiver wire pickups for week 3.

Alex Caruso, Chicago Bulls

For my first player on my Waiver Wire pickups for week 3, I would recommend Alex Caruso. The Bulls are expected to use Caruso late into games so far this season. I am not telling you to pick up Benny The Bull or Lonzo Ball by the picture. Lonzo should already be on your team. Caruso has become the sixth man in Chicago and playing late into the fourth quarter. Not only will he give you the points, but he also can get steals and sometimes blocks. Caruso has only gotten rostered on 28.6% of teams in ESPN Leagues. Caruso has seen more minutes in closer games and with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday and Saturday. He should get more minutes. Note, this is a short-term option because Coby White will be returning soon.

Cam Reddish, Atlanta Hawks

Reddish is one of those young guys the Hawks expect to get consistently good performances to have the same type of season as last season. Like Caruso, Reddish has become the sixth man in Atlanta and has averaged 24.9 minutes per game this season. He will not only get steals, but also more three-point makes. Reddish is currently on 20% of rosters in ESPN leagues. But the Hawks schedule won’t look easy for the rest of the week, including on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets, Thursday at home against the Utah Jazz. Lastly, end the week at the Phoenix Suns.

Luke Kennard, Los Angeles Clippers

In Kennard’s last three games, he has gotten at least 30 minutes coming from the bench. That’s a good sign, and Kennard should be long-term to pick up until Kawhi Leonard comes back from his injury later in the season. Luke Kennard is only on 3.3% of teams in ESPN leagues. Kennard is best at his three-point shot but will look for more stats with an easy schedule for this week. That includes the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday and Friday and then the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.

PG/SG Josh Giddey, Oklahoma City Thunder

SF/PF Carmelo Anthony, Los Angeles Lakers
