Will Lawrence Perform Well Against Colts?

The ever-optimistic Jaguars fans are putting a lot of faith in their new rookie quarterback, Trevor Lawrence. He is off to a great start after bringing victory to the Bold City for the first time stateside this season. The question is, will Lawrence be able to bring his A-game Sunday against the Colts after suffering a mild ankle injury on Sunday? The young star may play un-phased this Sunday, or that is what every Jacksonville fan hopes.

Minor Injury Set Back

There is little doubt that Trevor Lawrence will have his work cut out for him for Sunday’s game. The injury is reported to be minor with good-looking x-rays. It is likely that Lawrence won’t get to practice as usual as he gets treatment for his injury. Meanwhile, the Colts are also celebrating a recent victory, in their last game against the New York Jets last Thursday night. Even despite the injury, if Jacksonville’s defense performs like it did Sunday, they have a chance at grabbing the win. Urban Meyer believes Lawrence will be able to play in Sunday’s game; on the other hand, we don’t know if he will be 100%.

Will Jacksonville Win in Indianapolis?

In order to win on Sunday with an injured star player, Jacksonville is going to have to play their best. With a reputation for losing games and disappointing the ever-loyal Jaguars fans, Trevor Lawrence has a lot to prove in his rookie season. The Colts aren’t without injury themselves, as Braden Smith is dealing with an elbow injury. My prediction for this game is that the Jaguars will lose this one especially since they do not have the home-field advantage.

I don’t think it’ll be a crushing blow for the Jaguars, and they will put up a good fight. My score prediction for this game is Colts 21, Jaguars 15. I would give the Colts more points, although I do think the Jaguar’s defense will come to play on Sunday. I wouldn’t count the Jaguars out of some surprising wins this season once Trevor Lawrence is at full health again. We will get to see that rare Urban Meyer grin in the future.
