Georgia Tech Vs Notre Dame Preview

Georgia Tech is heading to South Bend, Indiana, to take on No. 8 Notre Dame this Saturday at 1:30 pm CT. Notre Dame is nine and one, and Georgia Tech is three and seven. Notre Dame leads the series 29-6-1, and this will be the third time Notre Dame will be facing Georgia Tech in the Brian Kelly era.

What’s At Stake?

This game has the makings to be a huge blowout game for Notre Dame and would help them move up into the College Football Playoffs. Georgia Tech is trying to play upset at this point in the season so they are looking to come out and make this game close. Notre Dame needs this game to stay in the College Football Playoffs talks.

Players To Watch

Georgia Tech has one offensive player that you may want to keep an eye on. Jahmyr Gibbs (Running Back) has had his best four games coming into this game. He has had 408 rushing yards in the last four games and has had huge receiving games as well.

Notre Dame also has one offensive player that needs to continue playing as he has been. Kyren Williams (Running Back) has been getting his rhythm, especially in the last five games. He has had a combined 583 rushing yards in the last four games.

Key Match-Up

Notre Dame’s offense verse Georgia Tech’s defense will be something to watch during the game. Georgia Tech’s defense has let up an average of 30.2 points per game and allows 447.4 yards per game. Notre Dame’s offense puts up an average of 32.3 points per game and has 396.6 yards per game. They have been average at best on offense all year until the last few games.

Final Thoughts

Notre Dame’s offense will have to come out strong and be able to pull away from Georgia Tech. They will have to have a big game if they are wanting to be looked at for the College Football Playoffs. Georgia Tech needs to play their best football, and it does not seem like that will happen going into this game.
