Pac 12 Conference Week 3 Preview

Pac 12 Conference Week 3 Preview. UCLA (10) Tyger Campbell.

Coming into Week 3 of the college basketball season. The Pac-12 Conference for Week 3 has one more team in the top 25–Arizona. But Oregon dropped out of the rankings. Let’s preview the Pac-12 Conference for Week 3.

UCLA (2)

UCLA is entered Tuesday with the chance to get the biggest non-conference in the nation and in the Pac-12 so far this season, but failed. This past week and yesterday, UCLA went 3-0 with blowout wins against Long Beach State (100-79), North Florida (98-63), and against Bellarmine yesterday (75-62). This third week of season includes Gonzaga (5-0), who they lost to by 20 points and on Saturday at UNLV (3-2). The good news is that Cody Riley could be back for the conference play that starts December 1st against Colorado. In Myles Johnson’s last two games, he has gotten at least ten rebounds, but missing Cody Riley against Gonzaga was a significant factor.

Arizona (17)

The Roman Main Event just helped Arizona make a top-three team in the Conference of Champions. Arizona got wins in this past week against North Dakota State (97-45), Wichita State (82-78), and the number four team in the country at the time last week of Michigan (80-62). Who has been leading the Wildcats to their 5-0 start? Christian Koloko, Koloko is averaging the team-highs in points with 15.4 points and rebounds with 7.6 rebounds. In the game against Michigan, Koloko had 22 points and seven rebounds. Other contributors to that win include Dalen Terry with 13 points and Azuolas Tubelis with 13 points and eight rebounds. I will note Michigan had a terrible shooting night going 7.1% from the three-point line. Arizona will get their next match on Saturday against Sacramento State.

USC (24)

USC had a quiet week with a solid win against Dixie State 98-71 last Monday. So far this season, the team-leading scorer is Boogie Ellis, with 17 points per game. The rebounds leader is Chevez Goodwin, with eight rebounds per game. The underrated guard of Drew Peterson leads USC in the assist department. USC will have only two games this week, which start on Thursday against Saint Joseph’s. Then we will either face San Diego State or Georgetown the next day on Friday.
