Alabama Vs Georgia SEC Championship Keys To The Game

Alabama Vs Georgia. They meet up for the SEC Championship game on Saturday, December 4, at 4:00 P.M. Eastern Time on CBS in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Undefeated Georgia 12-0 (8-0 SEC). Alabama ranked number 4 with an 11-1 overall record and 7-1 SEC. Expect a competitive game with lots of talent on both teams.

What Is On The Line

SEC Championship Trophy and a trip to the College Football Playoff. Georgia is trying to make history by keeping an undefeated record, moving to 13-0. Georgia is looking for a victory in the SEC Championship game. The last win by the Bulldogs in the SEC championship was back in 2017. Alabama has defeated Georgia in the previous three games. Georgia is looking to break the cycle.

Georgia is coming off of a massive victory over Georgia Tech 45-0. Alabama is coming off of a win against Auburn in a hard-fought battle that took four overtimes for Alabama to win. Alabama won the Iron Bowl 24-22.

What To Watch For

Look for emotions running high and a competitive game—talent on both teams. Despite struggles and injuries, both teams are going to be ready to compete. Alabama will be a different team than when they played Auburn. Stats and records have no meaning because this is a new game.

Alabama offense going against Georgia’s defense, and Georgia’s offense going against Alabama defense is something to see. Defensively for Alabama, Will Anderson Jr is a guy to watch. He is a great defender in the backfield who is an edge rusher. Jordan Davis is a defensive guy to watch for Georgia. Points scored per game-Alabama 42.7 and Georgia 40.7. Passing yards a game-Alabama 341.8 and Georgia 240.2. Rushing yards a game-Alabama 150.3, Georgia 201.7. Points allowed each game by Alabama 19.9, and Georgia 6.9. Georgia allows 230.4 yards per game, whereas Alabama allows 294.3 yards per game.

Starting QB Stetson Bennett for Georgia is completing 65% of his throws 10.8 yards per pass with 21 touchdowns and five interceptions. Stetson can run the ball with 240 yards. Brock Bowers helps out in the passing game for Georgia with 37 catches for 652 yards and ten touchdowns.

James Cook helps out in the run game along with Zamir White. A couple of other guys to watch for Georgia, Jermaine Burton, and Adonai Mitchell.

George Pickens is back for the Bulldogs, but how much will he contribute after coming back from injury being out? That will be something to watch.

Other guys to watch for Alabama– Quarterback Bryce Young, John Metchie III, Jameson Williams, and Brian Robinson Jr. Both, Georgia and Alabama have to focus on the current task at hand. Hustle and heart are also keys to the game.

Conclusion

Both teams are going to be emotional and come out ready to compete from warmups until the clock hits zero. It will be a phenomenal game no matter what the score is. Georgia should make history coming out victorious with a 13-0 record and SEC Champions with a trip to the College Football Playoff.
Regardless of who wins, the teams need to keep everyone relatively healthy.
