The Chicago Bulls (15-8) will look to get second win of the season series against the Brooklyn Nets (16-6). The Bulls are coming off a win in the Garden against the New York Knicks 119-115. While the Nets win in a close matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-105.
Keys to Bulls getting win
1. Play for 48 minutes
This Bulls squad has lost at least a 20+ lead in the first half in the last two games to the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks. The bench needs to play with a chip on their shoulder to finish games when starters aren’t in the game, especially with facing the best team in the east of Brooklyn Nets tonight. The Bulls can’t allow any runs by the Nets, and they need to play at their pace.
2. Next Man Up
The Bulls team will be without Coby White and Javonte Green because of COVID-19. But the biggest news storyline entering for Bulls today is the health of Alex Caruso. Caruso has a hamstring injury, which is Day-to-Day. But that means role players, including Ayo Dosunmu, Troy Brown Jr., and Derrick Jones Jr., will be having more minutes in the rotation.
3. Continue to involve Vucevic
Vucevic had a rough start to the season on both sides of the ball. He had to stay ten days away from the Bulls after testing positive for COVID-19 last month. The Bulls are expecting him to be the third scorer, but recently he gets involved early in games in the pick and roll action. You can’t expect Lonzo Ball to be the third-best scorer in the close games against one of the best teams in the NBA.
This game will have an excellent finish that will be high-scoring 100%. Kevin Durant will go for 30+ points to even up the season series at 1-1. James Harden has been playing better and has adjusted to new the NBA foul calls. Last night, Harden got 15 free throw attempts. But the Bulls will finish the east coast trip at 1-1 with a loss to Brooklyn 125-121. Brooklyn will stay on top of the eastern conference.
