Two hours before the game, the Bulls lost leading scorer DeMar DeRozan joined the NBA’s health and safety protocols other Bulls playing including Coby White and Javonte Green. Another big storyline was Alex Caruso missing the game because of a hamstring injury. Even though they were short-handed, the Bulls still got the great win against a solid Nuggets team. The third quarter went back-and-forth until Lavine led the Bulls to finish the third quarter with a 17-10 run after being down 61-60. Lavine scored 12 out of the 17 points during that run. The Nuggets never led again in the game.

Final Thoughts?

Bulls: Everybody on the Bulls stepped up after the 1st quarter. The Bulls will continue to miss significant players of Coby White, Javonte Green, Alex Caruso, and most importantly, DeMar DeRozan. “I feel really bad for DeMar.” Coach Billy Donovan said. The question is if they play like they did last night on the road against a solid Cavaliers team and great Heat team.

Nuggets: The Nuggets have now dropped eight out of their last ten games. Their game plan after the first quarter did not work. Nikola Jokic finished the game with a triple-double. Will Barton and Monte Morris added 19 points each, and Aaron Gordon had 18 points. But this team has not found its identity. Not having Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. is one of the reasons.
