The first half of the Cleveland Browns game on Sunday was thrilling if you were a Browns fan. In the 2nd Half, you were probably on the edge of your seat massively panicking that Tyler Huntley would lead an 18-point comeback.

But in the end, Cleveland was able to stop a 4th-and-6 pass well short of the first-down marker and pull out a 24-22 victory. Thanks to a loss by the Bengals later in the afternoon, the Browns jumped all the way to second in the AFC North. So how did we get here?

GAME RECAP

Cleveland got redemption for losing despite picking off Lamar Jackson four times two Sundays ago. It seemed like things would be easy as they opened the scoring thanks to a 43-yard field goal from kicker Chase McLaughlin, assisted by quite a few penalties, including two Ravens Defensive Pass Interferences. After Justin Tucker got the visitors on the board at the 3:30 mark until halftime, the Brownies got stalled out on offense, but got a strip-sack and return for a touchdown by Myles Garrett, who set a single-season record with a 15th sack. Baltimore added another field goal to head to half 24-6.

KEY PLAYERS

For Cleveland, Garrett, 1 sack, and a critical touchdown. Jadeveon Clowney also had 1.5 sacks. Baker Mayfield completed 22 of 32 passes for 190 yards, a pair of touchdowns, and a pick. He also had 6 carries for 14 yards.

Baltimore: Lamar Jackson: 4-of-4 for 17 yards, left in 2nd quarter with an ankle sprain, did not return. Huntley finished 27-of-38 for 270 and a score, but also lost 2 fumbles. Mark Andrews had 11 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown.

WHAT’S NEXT

Baltimore: Their schedule will not get any easier, as they welcome the Green Bay Packers into M&T BANK Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 4:25 P.M.

Cleveland: A somewhat short week, as they host the Las Vegas Raiders on a national stage, with a kick-off on Saturday at 4:30 P.M.
