Entering Friday December 17th, the Chicago Bulls COVID-19 situation is getting a little bit better with getting some players back for their first game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers since their games getting postponed. Yeterday, Billy Donavon was “hopefully” the bulls will able to resume basketball practices before Sunday night.

Good News

COVID-19 was the reason behind the Chicago Bulls games postponing on Tuesday; the Bulls would have had only eight players to play against the Raptors and Pistons. According to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic reports, as of today, DeMar DeRozan got removed from the NBA’s health and safety protocols. But the good news is they will get back three players by Sunday. Coby White and Javonte Green were able to rejoin the Bulls in the last couple of days. It’s unclear if DeRozan, Green, and White will be ready to play against the Lakers. But, if those guys play, that will make the Bulls have a projected 11 players prepared to play, which includes stars of DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, and Lonzo Ball. Other good news consists of the Bulls being able to practice on Saturday for their Sunday matchup against the Lakers.

Bad News

Yesterday, the bad news came out that four players, including Ayo Dosunmu, Alize Johnson, Troy Brown Jr, and star Zach Lavine will be out until Christmas. If you enter the NBA’s health and safety protocols, you will have 10-day isolation unless you test negative twice within 24 hours. The newest players getting out of the ten-day isolation period will have to hurry to get back in shape. They will have only a few days to get prepared for the Lakers.

Games Postponed Update

The Chicago Bulls had to postpone two games because of their COVID-19 outbreak. That includes their home game against the Detroit Pistons, which was supposed to happen last Tuesday. Also, the Bulls postponed their Thursday night matchup against the Toronto Raptors. The NBA and Bulls have not announced make-up dates for these games.
