The ball movement by New York was vital when they scored 18 points in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter. Another critical factor was the defense for the Knicks and not letting the Spurs score 100 points. After the 18-2 run, New York finished the game strong and won 111-96. The Knicks shot 63.2% from the field in the fourth quarter.

Final Thoughts

Full Team Effort From New York

Everybody got involved tonight for the Knicks, and when Randle didn’t have an open shot, he swung the ball and looked for the open shot. That was significant in the 18-2 run in the fourth quarter. New York will look to get back to .500 on Wednesday against the red hot Dallas Mavericks, who are on a six-game winning streak.

Spurs Fall 10 Games Under .500

It was another learning lesson for the Spurs tonight, but they got too comfortable in the second quarter with their eight-point lead. The good news is they will have a great chance of getting their second win of 2022 against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
